Abstract
Description
The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: Institutional Planning Committee's involvement in the University's strategic planning process; no faculty nonrenewals planned in budget; budget timeline; faculty census (relates to representation of schools and departments on Senate); new process for Board of Regents approval of programs; USG desire for face to face courses; enrollment management study results.
