Description

The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: QEP (regarding writing in the core curriculum); a change to the number of teaching evaluations required in the promotion and tenure process; space utilization study; budget update; sustainability; benefits changes; holidays schedule.
