The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: Richards Hall (Richard's College of Business) building construction; student orientation; capability to record videos of classroom lectures; Summer Camps; reaccreditation (upcoming in 2024); program review; freshman enrollment; budgeting reallocations for administrative salaries; marketing and branding; parking fees for faculty and staff; HelpWest Benevolence Committee; standing committees of Faculty Senate (see appendix).
