The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: hardship withdrawals; Honors College admissions regarding the SAT; policies and procedures for the Executive Secretary, storage of Senate documents, liaison with Staff Advisory Council, subcommittee on interdisciplinary studies, and protocols of the Senate; changes to the USGFC bylaws.
