Description

The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: budget update, including funding for Richards Hall, 2% salary raise, price increases for benefits and retirement, and probable tuition increase; also, reports on First Year Seminars, University Assessment Committee, and National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE).
