Abstract

Description

The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: Chancellor Perdue's Investiture; Board of Regents data site of consumer (student) based metrics; admissions testing waivers; excess teaching capacity for the number of students enrolled; periods of leave (formerly called sabbaticals); the Nexus in Supply Chain Management; and revising the Bylaws to allow virtual meetings.
