Description
The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: tornado in Newnan; eDossier (portfolios) for faculty promotion actions; concerns regarding Anti-Asian violence; Study Abroad class sizes; funding professional memberships; moving course evaluations (SEI's) online; conversation about process and shared governance (faculty-administration tensions verses collaboration); Engage West Survey (employment engagement survey); discussion regarding UWG's policy on Financial Management (UWG PL 3002); and General Education artifact assessment.
