Description
The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: a report on the move to Division 1 Athletics; announcement of a donation for the new Math, Computing and Science College; a move to consent agenda voting for curriculum changes (which replaced course by course voting); course scheduling.
