Description
The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. The Faculty Senate began issuing Resolutions on a selective basis in 2008 to emphasize collective opinion of the faculty within, and in addition to, the official minutes of the organization. This resolution, titled "Resolution on the Administration's Communication with the Faculty Senate about Government Activities," makes procedural recommendations regarding communication of public affairs, such as legislative bills that have the potential to impact the authority and responsibility of the general faculty. The Faculty Senate adopted this resolution on February 18, 2022.
