Early Jewish-Christian tombs are on the grounds of the Dominus Flevit Church on the Mount of Olives. The tombs presently contain ossuaries, or bone boxes in which the bones of the deceased are stored after a body decomposes. The boxes are generally large enough to contain femurs and other large human bones, but not as large as a full sarcophagus.
