The House of Simon the Tanner in Jaffa

Door of the privately owned dwelling that is purportedly owned by Simon the Tanner, who was mentioned in Acts 9:43, 10:5-8 and 10:31-32. Paul stayed there when he visited Jaffa. Writing painted on the doorjamb reads in English, "House of Simon the Tanner's" and underneath in German, "Der Gerbe," which translates to "the tanner" in English. A plaque on the door reads, "The Zakarian Family."
