Women in Yoruba Religions: A Review of Oyèrónké Oládémọ’s Argument

Abstract

This is a review of Oyèrónké Oládémọ’s book, "Women in Yoruba Religions." It covers her argument and whether or not I found it successful. The essay discusses the roles of women in the Yoruba culture as well as their religious roles. A main focus is shown on their influence throughout the diaspora and their influence on other religions such as those of the Judeo-Christian faith.
