Description
This image shares the a look at the domed roof of the Tomb of Dante. It is in neoclassical styles with floral swags decorating the rim. The structure was commissioned in 1780 by Cardinal legate Luigi Valenti Gonzaga and the architect was Camillo Morigia. The external view of this tomb gave rise to its nickname, "The sugar bowl".
