Abstract

Description

Ruins of the Villa Damecuta's lower loggia and semicurular viewpoint, can be seen through the vegetation on a promontory jutting out of the Anacapri coastline on the Island of Capri, Italy. The photograph was taken from the Villa Damecuta above. According to capri.com: "The flora of the Island of Capri is comprised predominantly of Mediterranean shrubs. The shrubs and trees on the island tend to have small leaves with a thick waxy layer, which reduces to a minimum the loss of water during the hottest hours of the day and protects the plant from drought and from the sun's rays."
