The Cave of Jehoshaphat is part of a series of burial niches and monuments in King's Valley. It is dated to the end of the second temple period (1st Century CE) . The carved relief at the top is Hellenistic in style. The actual identity of those originally buried in the cave are not known. The cave is located directly behind Absalom's Pillar, the Ionic Columns of which are visible in this photo.
