Abstract
Description
The Damascus Gate, located on the northwestern side of the city, is one of the main gates that surround the Old City of Jerusalem. This gate dates back to the early Roman Empire and was created under the rule of Emperor Hadrian in the second century CE. The gate was refurbished by Suleiman the Magnificent, a sultan of the Ottoman Empire.
