A wooden walkway leads from the cable car landing to the Snake Path gate of the fortress. Below the wooden deck one can see portions of the walkways and steps that make up the walkable "Snake Path" from the base of the plateau. The Snake Path, with its many switchbacks, was narrow and highly defensible.
