Abstract

Description

The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: the addition of "community engagement" to promotion and tenure in the Faculty Handbook; removal of a faculty member; time limits for promotion; meta majors; budget discussion by the president.
