dc.descriptionVault 1 of the Vault Complex opened onto the harbor street. It was constructed as a warehouse (Latin = horreum). This view looks west. Vault 1 measures approximately 30 meters long and is approximately 5 meters high and 5 meters wide. It was excavated in 1973 and 1974 and was found to have been used as a Mithraeum for the worship of Mithras.
