Description
The Roman Catholic section of the cave system includes several altars and burial chambers associated with Jerome, Paula and Eustonchium. Underneath the raised Altar of Joseph are two windows that look down into the older part of the cave. The architecture within the portion of the cave complex controlled by St. Catherine's is a combination of 1960's style and the original primitive cave system.
