In the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls (Rome, Italy), the chain at the altar was supposedly used while Paul was imprisoned in Rome to bind him to his Roman soldier guard. In this photograph, the illuminated chain is seen in context at the high altar. Saint Paul's remains are in a sarcophagus below the chain.
