Abstract
Description
The Faculty Senate of the University of West Georgia, constituted within Academic Affairs, is the primary means through which faculty participate in the shared governance process at the University. This body typically meets once per month to vote on curriculum changes, hear committee reports, and discuss issues that affect faculty. Highlights of this meeting include: an update on planned capital improvements to campus buildings, discussion about Graduate Teaching Assistantships, the passage of several curriculum changes and the presentation of an application to create a new center or institute, for which feedback was solicited. Doctoral Students, holding signs, were present during the meeting to express concerns related to student funding.
