The Roman Catholic section of the cave system includes several altars and burial chambers associated with Jerome, Paula and Eustonchium. Here there is a twentieth century mosaic over an altar. It depicts the two women, St. Jerome, and Eusebius. The architecture within the portion of the cave complex controlled by St. Catherine's is a combination of 1960's style and the original primitive cave system.
