dc.descriptionThis is an image of the Pyramid of Cestius, the tomb for Gaius Cestius. It is located near the Porta San Paolo and was later incorporated into the Aurelian Walls. Gaius Cestius Epulo was a praeter and the tomb dates to about 12 BCE. This photo was taken from within a moving vehicle.
