From St. Catherine's there is a connecting door to the Grotto of the Nativity. Pilgrims access the Nativity Grotto through Greek Orthodox portion of the church. On this particular day, the Grotto was closed for a service. Here, as viewed through a peephole in the St. Catherine's door, worship is in progress in the grotto.
